In this case Clint, I’m not sure I have an answer other than to wait until the ignorant, slash-burn-scorch-earth policy morons die out. Now mind you, I have no issue with their right to have an opinion. That’s very different than their right to ruin every single precious thing on Earth that is worth saving. And that is, I think, your point. I don’t pretend to assume I understand all you’re saying, but I think that’s the gist. It’s like trying to talk to Flat Earthers.
Really? for fuck’s sake. You get into an airplane as high as I’ve been to skydive an THEN tell me the Earth is flat.
The teachers in West Virginia who got (RIGHTFULLY) sued for teaching kids that Adam and Eve used to play by sliding down the necks of a Brontosaurus? Oh will you give me a fucken BREAK.
As a veteran, I stand for someone’s right to a take. But not for that “take” to take everything from everyone else. And that is a huge difference. Diversity and variety of opinion spark debate. But stupidity is stupidity and greed is greed, and we have a great deal of both making policy right now with the G7 Summit disaster that just happened a perfect lesson in what happens when you elect a moron to lead….right into the toilet.
I do my level best to give folks plenty of room to hash out their ideas. No issue with that. But when people demonstrate criminal stupidity, well, Clint, I’m kinda with you. The only way to stop that trend is get out and vote. I’m quite sure that there are plenty of folks who would just as virulently all me a moron because I believe in climate change, environmental protections, the Clean Air Act, permanently jailing repeat rapists (um, can we begin with Trump?), stopping the Japanese from wiping out the earth’s whale populations for sushi..I dunno. Guess to some that makes me pretty damned stupid.
