I would posit that you are speaking for yourself, Steven. It reads that way to you. It may or may not read that way to someone else. And while it is in every way your prerogative to characterize my choice of informal voice as “less careful,” I choose my words very carefully. When I choose a voice, it’s a conscious choice. Sometimes it’s for humor’s sake; sometimes for other reasons. But to state that it is less careful is less than respectful. With respect, Steven, you have every right to your take, and your opinion, as do we all. Your opinion does not make it fact for others. The more I write and the more I comment, the more careful I am to make sure that I avoid presenting opinion as fact. I value your viewpoint, I value your opinion, but again, opinions by definition aren’t fact. Kindly, this discussion over what I honestly consider to be such a minor, unnecessary and trivial detail is taking away from a client project. I am doing my level best to honor your input, Steven, but this really is such a minor thing. It’s a choice. I wish you a good day.
