I would love to believe that the US would grow balls, as well as a heart. For as it stands now, not only can too few people afford the basics, four hundred bucks is all it takes on average to bankrupt an American family. The virus really brought this issue into bas relief. We care about profits, not people. Kindly folks, without people, there are no profits. Somebody needs to wake up. It won’t be Trump. Or his people. I have to believe that eventually the ME FIRST mentality that has brought the US to its knees might well be under serious reconsideration- that’s what I choose to hope for. That, and the rekindling of caring about what’s really important as opposed to the latest whatever-it-is in order to show our superiority or coolness.

Can we return to our humanity? I sure hope so. That, and a respect for the Earth that sustains us, and the animals we share Her with. I can sure hope.
