I would add to this the plethora of dumb stupid catalogs hawking grotesquely overpriced goods for a fake lifestyle nobody lives and to lumbersexuals dreaming of being a he-man in $5000 sheepskin coats. I read an article the other day about those catalogs, like The Territory Ahead and others which have failed miserably. The catalogs are little more than penis stroking for the guys who created the company, and the goods appeal to wanna bes. Those of us who DO live that life wouldn't be caught dead wearing or owning such stupid shit. You might want to revisit George Carlin and what he has to say about motivation. He's funny, and spot on. We are either moved or we aren't, and it really does serve to query what on earth is moving us, that desperate need to feel superior (I CAN AFFORD A $545 tool back fuck you) or because what moves us might make us useful to others. But hey, that's just me. What do I know? I'm just a 68 yo old adventure traveler with no Instagram account.
