I wish I could say I can't relate. But at 70, with my monthly writer's income at a stunning $500 down from $3100 a year ago, boy can I relate. I have to redirect all over again. AI can't replace us no matter what, but that's a lesson that the greed mongers have yet to learn. I mourn, too. But meanwhile I have to write a book and completely retool. I can't pay my bills on what I'm earning, thank you Medium and all the other online services. Silicon Valley needs to sink into the ocean but they are hardly alone.
