I wish civility on Medium was where it was when I began three years ago this month. It isn't. Trolling has increased exponentially. You are being exceedingly civil, which, after a year of doing my level best to be civil while watching Medium's ham-handed fuck up of our readership etc. resulted in no response AT ALL to any emails, despite promises otherwise. That, as you say, buried my trust. I am no longer civil, because of what I have heard from other writers. I am consistently above $400 a month, but that is down from $2600 a month a year ago. You can understand why, after nearly killing myself to get to that point and working so very hard to build writer trust, it peeves the holy SHIT out of me that I get Tweets from readers who tell me 'they never see my work on Medium any more." There are few people as prolific as I am, publishing up to three times every day in different pubs, and they say, as they are following me, that they never see my work? That is part of the problem. Pointed it out a hundred times. Sent copies of peoples comments. Crickets. Which is a another way to say fuck you we don't care enough to respond. So I stopped being civil because Medium's treatment of US has not been civil. Nuff said.
