I value your input Chris, and would add my angle: blocking for me protects my psyche from sewage. That is called establishing healthy boundaries. I have no issue at all with healthy debate, lively discourse and even heated disagreement. But as an incest and sexual assault survivor, someone who has been subjected to intense verbal abuse, I will not have that in my life any more. The impact of such vicious words is deep and lasting. There is no conceivable reason on god’s green Earth to allow such ugliness into my life. I cannot possibly justify allowing someone else’s sewage to ruin my day, my life. That isn’t intolerance, Chris. It’s self care. We differ on this, and I respect your point of view however as the comments have gotten worse, my willingness to entertain them has dropped fast.
