I think that's a sharp observation. I used to be a fan of Haque as well and stopped reading for that reason. Wildfire is smart as shit, but here's the trap, Nicole: negativity sells. People are drawn to ain't it awful like flies, without realizing how much that feeds the narrative. I appreciate the intelligence in her work, but I see the same trending down. She's a very sharp observer about what's wrong in society as it pertains to Millennials, and she's damned near as prolific as I am, but the unfortunate constant focus on what's wrong isn't helpful. I like quoting her but I fucking need humor and perspective once in a while too.
