I think I get it- this specific comment had nothing to with editing. I think you might be seeing this out of context. I was referring to a line in another article that was telling me as Dear Reader that "we all do....." to which I took umbrage. When an author tells me as the reader what I think or believe, I find that rude. This particular line has nothing whatsoever to do with editing. Please reread for context.
