I really appreciate this viewpoint. I am not always a fan of Oprah's, never saw a program, but I agree that we hold ridiculous standards for Black women. I have to ask how much of this Oprah hate right now is that she dared to get so rich, so popular and so powerful in America the same way so many hate Obama? I can't know that but there's an argument to be made. I have to admit that I found some of her public activity uncomfortable but I find a lot of media personalities a bit off. May be a lot off. That doesn't take away from her achievements. As with any public personality, there will be things we like or don't like and we bloody well have no access to their private lives, their reasons or reasoning.

This made me think twice about some impressions I had and I appreciate your viewpoint. I appreciate your making me think harder about it.
