I might add to this the simple truth that diets don't work, because by design they are brief because they are used to achieve a goal. Once reached, most return to old habits and boom. This journey is constantly changing for us as we age, have kids, change lifestyle, a thousand different reasons. Diets are dysfunctional. Learning what we need at any given time, learning how we need to adapt to our changing circumstances and being mindful that our caloric and nutritional needs change regularly are all part of smart body maintenance.
