I have one more suggestion and this is about survival. At some point, being slammed all day everyday with horrific images on Facebook about human crimes against nature is utterly and completely mind-numbing. I had to shut all that down and get off FB because the feeling of helplessness raised my anxiety level so high. The ONE thing that reduces it is to get active, choose a topic, get busy and make a difference. Nothing but nothing solves the problem of ineptitude and hopeless better than action, pointed action to solve a problem that you care about. When we do nothing but sit while we’re bombarded with images, all that does is make us ill. We need to get busy. Write letters, volunteer in campaigns, work at animal shelters, study, learn, travel. Ask-let’s do our due diligence and ask what’s needed. If we can’t give money we can write letters or give time or call our Congressmen. All of that helps.
