I find it uniquely insulting when people who know nothing of you tell you what you are feeling. I have a two word, VERY rude response. So when did someone wake up and make them GOD, that they know all our feelings and thoughts? There is no conversation with folks who use this tactic. Besides, natch, Elizabeth, they already know what you're going to say, right? of course they do. Don't make me laugh. It's rude, childish, puerile and idiotic, but in wide use. It's extremely manipulative and for my part pretty much the end of any kind of adult conversation. If this person is representative of that group, I repeat, you'll be elevated by leaving it.
