I don't argue the point but your point is a non sequitur. If you wish to write an article about that, be my guest. But this particular article has a lot more to do with fitness than finances or the evils of capitalism. You're likely to get a lot more interest and engagement in other forums if you submit a piece that deals directly with this. I don't have the chops to take this on, and it's not my knowledge base. I would happily read an article which addresses this, but even in socialist societies, there are people determined to show superiority, by having more or having exotic things. That is human nature, greed, etc. Capitalism isn't the enemy per se. I would posit that human greed and stupidity have a lot more to do with it. I've been all over the world in places where capitalism does not exist. People will pay ANYTHING for tiger penis, rhino horn, certain exotic birds. So if you're going to make an argument, do so, but back it up with solid research, examples, interviews, etc. That is what is compelling. And again, this article isn't about that.
