I didn't even participate. I am a four-time prize winning author whose titles suck and whose very passionate fans keep my ass in line. My wins are expressed in every single comment where someone tells me they started working out, finally, after being lovingly browbeaten by me for months. And they are nearly beside themselves with how much better they feel. THAT is a win. Do I make millions? NO. Did a life maybe change because of stuff I wrote? Maybe. Maybe a lot. If the point of writing is money, don't bother to write. Write to serve, you will win every single time. When others win that lifts me up. I don't need to compete. I just need to read the comments.
