People who photograph older folks are themselves beset with prejudice and preconceived notions. To wit: one day I was out running stairs at Red rocks… thousands of them, thank you…along with plenty of folks much older than I was. There were photographers there for a professional shoot…of some twenty something chick doing a fraction of what we were doing. Look, it’s our society, and I understand. But when I buy photos off Deposit there isn’t a single shot of old broads like me pushing Very Serious Iron. But we sure as shit do. And run ultra marathon races. And and and. I will be long dead and buried before that changes.
