Honestly, I think that penalizations are already in place. To which I have to argue, who got us here in the first place? This is where Robert Lustig 's book Metabolical comes in so handy, Shefali. The system is set up against us then the corporations who make bad food etc can blame the victim for smoking or obesity and then the insurance coimpanies can penalize folks. That is a much bigger societal issue, but I would separate that from infectious viruses. But that's just me. Read the book and you'll understand my take. But don't do it for me, it's one hell of a ride to get to a better understanding of your first point about obesity and diabetes. He goes after that big time.
