Given the way Black doctors- especially women- are treated in America I hardly understand how anyone would want that route but brave people do it anyway. To your point, JF, part of the challenge is that the unique needs and concerns, the stresses and issues of communities of color (MOST ESPECIALLY AROUND OBESITY) don't just beg Black and Brown caregivers, without them that care will always and forever be tinged with prejudice and a terrible lack of understanding. I hear you.
