Given that this particular term right now is more than a little radioactive when we speak about Black folks, I just wonder if there might have been a different term. Doesn't make me right, but I sure have seen some articles in Zora calling this out. Can't say I disagree. I'm trying awfully hard to mind my choice of words right now, and that one, well. I can't speak for you but I would have looked for another. I don't argue your points, Amber, but sensitivity to the language of the day is a real gift.
