Forrest, I believe powerfully in fasting, and tend to agree with you about the science. There is just too much that supports the notion that a day away from the table (or drive through, whatever) is a day well spent resetting the body. Truth, if I put into this article everything I know about body maintenance and all the tips I have, it would read like War and Peace, and nobody would bother. I confess to getting itchy if an article drones on too long. However to your point, our journeys are so very individual, and what I appreciate so much about your point is that depending on our styles (you’re an engineer) and our goals, the way we move forward has to be crafted to fit what works. This insane notion of trying to emulate others’ success when others’ bodies are not ours, others’ habits are not ours, is one of the ways we fail.
