For those living on the Eastern plains that is most definitely true. For those living right up against the mountains, it’s not. While I should have specified, calling this a “lie” is highly inflammatory and unnecessarily hyperbolic. I’ve lived on the Front Range since 1974. Tornadoes close to the mountains are new for us. Not on the plains, where they are expected. Big difference.
