Folks, with respect, BMI is roundly, solidly debunked. Everything else, heartbreakingly spot on. I fought obesity, and am one of the ones who has found a way to negotiate a truce.

For what it’s worth. I am sick unto fucking death of fat shamers. Just sick of it. And to your point, dear god, all the skinny people who die young for lifestyle reasons. Not fat. Monumentally stupid. But then folks who hate their own bodies will come up with any reason to hate anyone who doesn’t look like a fucking fitness model.
