Ezzie, while I still love fashion and follow it at a distance, Vogue stopped being relevant in my life years and years ago. While they do feature Black models, Asian models et. al. they cannot, like most institutions, acknowledge Black Excellence at the highest levels. No matter how brilliant, how sophisticated Andre Talley was, he would always be a performing pet. For to acknowledge otherwise would be to embrace the pervasive sickness in the industry. It's just a microcosm of what's wrong everywhere as it pertains to race.
