Don’t we all. But by the same token, this knee-jerk response to something that someone does for the sheer untrammeled joy of it is indicative of how our society has come to frame everything in terms of whether or not it makes us money. That is what has led us to think of every single living thing on earth in terms of its value to us. Whether we can sell the fucking thing. Why not simply enjoy it for its own sake?
