Did we really, truly forget Hunt for Red October? That didn't even make your list? I liked this much better than Crimson Tide for a variety of reasons. I think Crimson was trying to ride on the same tide (sorry) as Hunt, which was a superb vehicle for a young Alex Baldwin and a gorgeous Sean Connery. Those interested see a very young Skaarsgard as the evil Russian submarine captain sent to kill Connery's character.
