Diana,

I hear you loud and clear. What I learn every single day from this man is that I carry a great deal of baggage (new article coming on that). If he isn’t here I don’t get to see the rocks I’ve thrown into my backpack that weigh me down, bend my back, and make me bitter if I let it. We can’t possibly know the kinds of crap we carry without having another heartbeat in the house to show us where the junk has been thrown. Junk from prior relationships, parental training, the rocks other friends threw into our backpack from their bad relationships…. it’s endless. Those are gifts, they force us to take a long, cold, hard look at ourselves. Nobody is free of this. By being human we have junk in the trunk. This is our journey. Most of us run headlong in the other direction trying to find someone who won’t push our buttons. The buttons are there for a purpose. The Universe doesn’t care that we don’t like what we see, experience or how we show up. Without these lessons we don’t grow.

Well SHIT.

All I can suggest is that it takes genuine courage to hang with it. Nobody is perfect, but whomever you’ve drawn into your life is perfect for you for now.
