Dear Ann,

There is daily and intense joy just being here. I woke up this morning — about an hour before we head to Nairobi- the fascinating sounds of local birds filling the air, and George, the Ridgeback, pressing his happy head into my hands as I headed outside to collect last night’s laundry. It’s important to report on all things. I am right now gazing into the dense backyard woods of my guesthouse, and breathing in rich air. I am very grateful. Believe me.
