Carol, thanks. I am wrapping up here and looking at Substack. Last year's experiment with Patreon on my website resulted in fifty supporters and pays the light bill, but my income is now well below the poverty level so I have got to retrench. Nothing I have done around Medium has worked and I am sliding towards pennies a month no matter how hard I work. My follower stats haven't budged in perhaps seven or eight months despite regular emails telling me I have all these new followers and views don't mean income. I just cannot continue. You're welcome to read me for free over at Walkaboutsaga.com, and then I am developing a Substack presence sometime this year. I am also focusing on new speeches and a new book. No matter how many good people I like and wanted to follow on Medium, I can't find their writing, and my followers can't find mine but in the comments. I no longer give a shit about Medium for these and many more reasons. I hope not to lose touch with you, but 2023 finishes out five years of trying to make this work. I lost my company last year because of Medium, and the foolish notion that it would turn around. No, it went rancid a long time ago for those of us serious about writing. I am so tired of the daily brainwash of complaints, and the difficultly in finding fine writing, which most assuredly does exist, but only if you're willing to slog through so very much sewage. Oh, my god, what a gorgeous oasis this was in 2018, and before that, I'm sure too. I just hung around way too long. Best of luck to you.
