Carlo, until someone has experienced complete helplessness and violation, which most men (unless in prison) will experience in their lives, there is absolutely no empathy or understanding. There is no validity to our experiences. That’s where there is an us vs them mentality. Those of us who have been raped vs those who either do the raping or deny that such anguish exists. That is of course a gross oversimplification, but lines get drawn. Fairly or unfairly, they do get drawn. Thanks for your comments.
