Brian I get your point, and while I salute your MFA and your background as a teacher, I simply have to challenge this. This is your writing style. This is what works for you. Great. That has little to nothing to do with other’s styles, how others research or process information, or how others choose or prefer to approach their writing. I’m a multiple prize winning author and journalist with 5500 articles on Medium in just over two years. It’s fair to say I know how to produce. But all due respect, not in a billion years would I recommend how to write to anyone else. How to find article ideas, perhaps, but not the process of creation. That is individual and different as a fingerprint. But that’s just me. I am troubled when I see pieces that imply Be like me, when only Brian can be like Brian. Got lots of eyeballs. Great. If that’s your purpose, fine. But if it’s to encourage the sacred and unique journey of creation, respectfully, this doesn’t do that. If anything the article sets folks up to judge themselves as failures if they can’t write fast. Just my POV. Personally I would likely feel more than a bit irritated if some stranger dictated to me the best way to write. We are clueless as to other’s process. Again, that’s just me. You definitely wouldn’t want me in your writing class
