He did precisely the same thing. I didn’t ask him that why he didn’t clarify that it was only about himself. I simply took the journey with him, and did the same thing: I explained myself in my subtitle and the article copy. It was quite on purpose. I can only speak for myself in that his choice of title didn’t bother me at all. It was quite clear that not only could he not speak for anyone else any more than I can, he was just making a stand, which he clarified right away.
I could care less about marriage per se at this point. My purpose was to point out partnership. I simply chose to mirror his article. Nothing more. You could just as easily write him and ask him the same question. It’s a writer’s prerogative to use such techniques, just as it is most certainly yours. For my part I was having fun with it.
