Because, for heaven's sake, if we own our part in creating the health disparities, we have to admit that we were wrong. Dead wrong. And lots of Black and Brown folks dead because we were wrong, because of Covid. Not because they CHOSE to drink lead poisoned water, live next to superfund sites, and eat lard biscuits because they can't pay fifteen dollars for a loaf of specialty bread at Whole Foods, or whatever.
