As this is something I blog on, if for no other reason than I am in that successful 5% having kept 85 lbs at bay for 34 years and counting, what drives me so fucking nuts is that thin is not fit is not thin. The sixty some billion dollar diet industry, and the worldwise weightloss industry (I think it's going to be 242b in a few years) COUNTS on our failures. In fact that is their profit model. They don't win if we successfully lose, if you'll pardon the pun.

I did. For life. And what that means is that my metabolic rate slowed, and as I age, even though I am an athlete, I still have to watch my intake. I vary a few pounds, but in 34 years, quarantine was the only time I gained more than ten back. It's gone, but a fine reminder that you never stop working at it. My thin works for me, but it is because I fundamentally retooled a lifestyle. Being thin did nothing for my love life, success or any other damned thing. I like living light, but nothing got transformed other than my pants size. Bottom line, a thin asshole is still an asshole. The deep work is internal.
