As a fellow veteran, what people DO NOT understand about loving one's country is that demanding she be better IS love of country. Demanding that she keep her promises, live up to her ideals, IS love of country. It's misunderstood across the board, Johnny. All twisted outta shape. I love her enough to say you (the USA) are fucked up. Let's fix it.
