Anybody who knows jack fucking shit about politics knows that you have to sell your goddamned soul to get elected. It's merely a matter of how much and to whom, one ends up being beholden. At least to my mind, that's why so few people choose to step up to that career path. Because it ain't a step up. It's a step in shit for the rest of your life. It never, ever comes off your shoes.
