And isn’t this just the whole point of hostels?
I really appreciate your thoughtful response, Mary. While there are times I look at the years left to me (assuming I don’t go flying off a cliff someday sans parachute) I am a wee bit sad I am entering a sunset. However I am immensely grateful that I’ve had this life- you and I are still here and still paddling if you will- and there is a great deal to be said for that.
If there is anything to be said about hitting send before we breathe, we all do it. I am as subject to this as the next person, but by the same token, Mary, there is feedback in your post that caused me to reread mine and consider it in the light of your comments. That’s not at all a negative. I allows me to see how others might read my words, and in particular, where something isn’t intended. There’s always value in that.
The older we get, the more stories we have to stand upon. Our icebergs are indeed large. Someday they will melt completely. In the meantime I equally wish for you that yours floats to places that also float your heart and soul. Thanks for your comments.
