All of which I would have done when I moved here but for Covid. I am an athlete, so my preferences run with runners and people who share my passion for the outdoors and animals. The biggest challenge isn't for want of organizations, but that nobody was having any kinds of meetings of the membership. I don't argue your points, but Covid put the deep freeze on a great many activities. Having just moved to a new state in the middle of lockdown, there wasn't much to be done about getting out and about until the mandates began to lift. And of course, now it's too damned hot to go outside for a while. Go figure.

With respect, I no longer ask for introductions, if for no other reason than what appeals to me is so narrow and so specific that I've learned the hard way that other's versions of what might work for me, doesn't. Not in the least. I've been single most of my life, and at this point, at 68, I'm actually kinda comfortable with it. I agree with your suggestions. We're still in some pretty strict lockdowns here in Oregon, and with any luck when it lightens up I can make friends. That may have to suffice. Other than that I prefer horses and dogs and camels and rhinos and elephants and and and. They're easier to clean up after.
