Alan, I think there are, but my impression is that most of them fell (at least those I knew about) fell into the Bill McCartney style that is religion-based. To my mind, that’s not a good start but then I am admittedly prejudiced, for organized religion doesn’t often treat women well. Or, better said, those who chose to selectively interpret scriptures don’t treat women well. There are some badass Biblical women. I think there are some excellent groups that form quite informally. I don’t know you need a professional facilitator. Sometimes you can just start one yourself, and my guess, Alan, is that you will have some takers. We are all of us struggling to navigate different waters, and we all need help, support and feedback. What we don’t need are websites were men plot out their revenge on women, are full of hate and denigrate the opposite sex as a whole. I stumbled on one not long ago and was simply stunned. Free speech. I was nauseous. Here’s what I just found online when I Googled men’s self help groups: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/vbad3y/toxic-masculinity-classes-rethinking-men. I think all we need do is pose the question and see what rises for us. We all need help. Every single one of us. Asking for it is half the battle. Thanks for your comments.
