Actually, the permission is what I did back when I turned sixty and began my adventure travel career. This is effectively the whole point, Melissa. This past weekend that word kept surfacing through a few other articles, so you're right on the money. The good news is that I embraced that fully when I returned to adventure travel. Then over time I noticed the mission creep. It's a constant challenge to back that off. The training is brutal, and the need to keep the door open to the kid who didn't get to play (farm upbringing) essential. I agree, and I have most certainly done that, AND it's a constant battle between the parental messaging and the kid who started work at four years old who didn't get to have a childhood. Believe me, I am on board.
