About four years ago I was sitting in a small cafe in the Istanbul airport. A man sat down with me. He was a Lebanese doctor. He said: “I speak Lebanese, I am one person. I speak French, I am two people. English, I am three people.”

I loved that line. While I am not fluent in other languages I can day thank you in about 20 or more, and I can stumble around in Spanish, and a very little Thai. I am indeed more than one person.

Lovely piece. Thanks.
